Atmosic Technologies introduces platforms to drive battery-free Internet of Things

California-based semiconductor supplier Atmosic Technologies has introduced the industry’s lowest power wireless Bluetooth 5 platforms, which comprises of the company’s inaugural M2 and M3 series, to enable IoT devices to be “forever connected, anywhere.” Atmosic is developing solutions to enable forever battery life to tackle the effort, cost and ecological impact associated with battery maintenance for billions of connected devices. It has developed three innovative technologies that radically reduce battery dependence for IoT: lowest power radio, on-demand wake-up, and controlled energy harvesting. In order to determine the most power-efficient foundation for its first IoT connectivity solutions, Atmosic took a wireless agnostic approach. T-Mobile is on a trucking road trip with IoT and 5G technologies

T-Mobile is embarking on a road trip in a ‘Tech Truck’ packed with IoT and 5G technologies in order to build hype about their possibilities. The semi-truck features T-Mobile’s signature magenta and will be touring all over the country for a year to show the network is on the cutting-edge of innovations. It was built in the company’s national technology lab based in Bellevue it calls ‘Launch Pad’ where engineers work on the next-generation of wireless technologies. Many of these developments will now be hitting the road.
